This amazing vintage Seth Thomas retro clock is, sadly, not in working condition.
The power cord wires are dry-rotted and have detached from the motor, and it looks like it might require intermediate electrical skills to repair (or just replace the motor entirely with a new battery-operated one). The clear plastic dome glass also shows some wear and tear in the form of some scuffs and scratches and one crack, which can be seen traveling from center of face to the "3" mark. One of the snap tabs is missing, but the plastic cover stays in place with no problem. Despite all of this, this fun retro clock is still a striking piece with genuine Atomic style, and it was still proudly displayed on our living room wall in non-working condition! The white plastic clock face and body are in excellent condition. It measures 8.5 inches in diameter. See more head-turning vintage retro Seth Thomas clocks available below. read more
Add the Cosmo Cube to the ever-growing list of vintage 1980s Sony Dream Machine cube clock radio copycats! The Cosmo Cube has stylish retro looks and graphics and is in perfect working order. Buzzing alarm is loud and the radio sounds pretty good, too. The outer shell is a weird fleshy salmon pink color and actually appears to have discolored based on the color tone of the base. In any case, it it very clean and free of deep scratches, cracks or other damage. The Cosmo Cube model CR-2051 measures 5 inches square. Just look how yellow this thing is. They would not dare to make something so bold today without it being for the outside. This is a classic cosmo clock that really wants you to wake up and get to work. That is their job and they love doing it. Wake up with a a retro 80's alarm or that perfect radio station to make the day start off right. This alarm clock will do just that. read more
This vintage wall clock is made by Welby, designers of many popular starburst wall clocks in the 1950s-1960s. This one appears to be from the 1970s (based on the wood stain and color scheme) and is designed with two usable shelves that you can decorate. It has an ultra-modern late '70s contemporary feel, very-well-made with solid and heavy wooden planks with a clean, modern and attractive cream-color and brushed silver metal enamel face. There are two wells carved into the shelves so you can add vases or breakable items that won't slide off. The clock runs on one "c" battery and keeps perfect time. It’s an interesting and unusual piece made with quality. The clock face measures 10 inches square and the full clock dimensions are 22.25 inches x 18 inches x 5.5 inches at widest points.read more
THANKS TO THE SONY DREAM MACHINE, THE '80s FAD OF CUBE TECHNOLOGY QUICKLY INFECTED THE ALARM CLOCK RADIO MARKET AND JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY HAD THEIR VERSION. THIS IS A RARE ONE FROM MAGNAVOX, THE D4000 CLOCK RADIO HAS A SILVER FINISH AND A COOL RETRO HI-FI LOOK. IT MEASURES 4.25 INCHES SQUARE AND IS IN USED CONDITION, BUT RETRO MAGNAVOX ALARM CLOCK IS VERY CLEAN AND HAS NO MAJOR FLAWS. THE ONLY CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE IS THE WORN PAINT ON THE CONTROL BUTTONS AND A COUPLE OF MINOR SCUFFS ON THE FACE. THE SOUND QUALITY IS DECENT FOR THIS VINGTAGE MAGNAVOX ALARM CLOCK, A BIT TINNY AND NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF LOW-END FREQUENCIES OR BASS RESPONSE (AS YOU WOULD PROBABLY GUESS). WHATEVER, THE MAGNAVOX ALARM CLOCK LOOKS REALLY NEAT AND IT'S A COOL ALTERNATIVE TO THE CLASSIC DREAM MACHINE.read more

The Icom World Clock...not just for ham radio operators anymore!
The classic vintage Icom World Clock model GC-5 alarm clock has not only the choice timepiece of ham radio operators for decades, it is also an extremely stylish office desk or nightstand accessory. The elaborate face is inset into a flat, clear acrylic frame with beveled edge and a smart black panel sits on the clear frame, held in place with cool chrome pins. This is another piece of our vintage furniture store collection. This looks super cool. I can see this nice item on a professionals desk. This is a great gift for a lawyer or accountant or anyone who sits at their desk. But why leave it at work when you can showcase this at your home. An ultra-modern chrome wire base holds the clock at the perfect angle. It is powered by one "AA" battery and has a pleasant electronic chime alarm that won't jar you awake like the harsh buzz of most vintage alarm clocks. This classic vintage Icom World Clock was manufactured in Osaka, Japan and was barely used (if ever), still in beautiful condition. There are a couple
of tiny faint scuffs on the clear plastic watch glass and the rubber feet show some yellowing from age (we suggest removing them altogether for a cleaner look). The clock sold first week at auction and was shipped with a printed copy of the original manufacturer instructions we located online (they were very helpful!). Known as makers of ultra-high-quality ham radio transceivers and shortwave receivers, this Icom World Clock is no exception to the respected Icom name. Icom World Clocks are no longer manufactured and are very, very rare, so check below for the Icom, as well as other highly stylish desktop world clocks from Seiko, Howard Miller, and other fine clock makers.read more
This Mid-Century Modern Syroco starburst wall clock has an almost Art-Deco Hollywood Regency feel while retaining its classic retro Atomic style. Manufactured by the Syracuse Ornamental Company of "Syroco Wood" (a natural composite resin similar to Burwood Products), it has the look and high quality of something you'd see in Lucy and Desi's house! Th Syroco starburst wall clock pictured above is the real deal. We found this one with its original key-winding 8 day jeweled clock movement still intact and working perfectly. It has a real beveled glass hinged window, and you can see and feel the quality each time you pass by it. The highly intricate gold finish is unusual and visually appealing. The original winding key was missing when we found it, but the square shaft looks fairly universal and should be easy to replace. We used a pair of needle nose pliers to wind and test the movement, only twisting the shaft about a quarter turn. The clock movement started ticking, and proceeded to run and keep perfect time for about 3 days! The iconic Syroco starburst wall clock measures 15 7/8 inches in diameter and sits approximately 2 1/2 inches off the wall. There were a few minor blemishes and discoloration in the gold coloring, but nothing that really detracts from the great style of the clock. The face had a few tiny spots, but again, nothing major. The bevel glass had no scratches, chips or cracks. We sold this clock pretty fast and shipped it to Australia. Other Syroco clocks for sale on the web may not be in as good shape as this one, so you want to be sure to check all pictures and read item descriptions before you buy.read more
