MACHINE AGE DARKFIELD PETRI DISH COLONY COUNTER VINTAGE LAB SCIENCE

machine age colony counterTHIS AWESOME FRANKENSTEIN-ISH MACHINE AGE VINTAGE LAB SCIENCE PETRI DISH COLONY COUNTER IS MADE OF HEAVY STEEL SHEETING WITH GLASS WINDOW AND MAGNIFIER AND CHROME EXTENSION ARM. THE DARKFIELD QUEBEC COLONY COUNTER FROM AMERICAN OPTICAL CORPORATION IS STILL COMPLETELY USEABLE IN IT'S ORIGINAL INTENDED USE, BUT IT ALSO MAKES A FUN LIGHTED MAGNIFYING TOOL FOR JEWELRY MAKING, MODEL BUILDING, OR OTHER MICRO-TOOL PROJECTS. WE USED IT AS AN UNUSUAL NIGHTLIGHT ON THE BEDROOM NIGHTSTAND. THIS DEVICE WAS USED IN A LAB SETTING AND SHOWS AGE AND WEAR ON THE BODY. THERE ARE NO DENTS OR OTHER STRUCTURAL DAMAGE AND ONLY A FEW VERY SMALL SPOTS OF RUST IN THE CRACKS. THE CHROME ARM HAS SOME RUST FORMING (CAN BE REMOVED WITH HOUSEHOLD 3-IN-1 OIL AND SOME FINE STEEL WOOL). FINALLY, THE MAGNIFYING GLASS HAS A SMALL CHIP IN THE BORDER EDGE NEAR THE ARM ATTACHMENT. THE BOX MEASURES 10 INCHES X 10 INCHES X 10.5 INCHES AND IT STANDS A TOTAL OF 13.5 INCHES TALL.
